Elevation Fellows Program
Currently, only 38% of working-age Floridians hold an associate’s degree or higher. According to workforce projections, by 2020 over 60% of Florida jobs will require some form of post-secondary degree or certificate.
The goal of the Elevation Fellows Program is to create a pipeline for high-achieving high school students to attain a post-secondary degree. The program seeks to prepare students enrolled in local Title I high schools to be more competitive for the admissions process in the nation's top colleges and universities.
Students from the University of Central Florida are paired with 11th-graders to serve as role models and academic mentors. The mentorship focuses on preparing the mentees for college life, college admissions, and career planning.
